  WELCOME TO D&G EXPRESSIONS

Dance and Gym Expressions was established in 1987 to provide Stafford with professional instruction for students of all ages.  In 2020, our founder, Sandra Childress, began a well earned retirement .  D&G continues to grow and nurture dancers and gymnasts under the ownership of Jenny Jones.  Our programs are carefully designed to teach each student in a manner that best suits their individual needs. Our teachers are not only trained in dance and gymnastics, but also in child development, and injury prevention.  We are excited to share in our students overall development and progress in a developmentally appropriate, family friendly environment.  Class placements are made according to student ability.

 

Our staff of well trained instructors has created an environment that stimulates learning, permits social interaction, and builds self-esteem.  We strive to nurture, inspire, encourage creativity, growth, and a feeling of family in our students and their families. Our staff of caring instructors looks out for the physical and mental well being of each of our students as they learn to appreciate the joy of movement and self-expression.

OUR FACILITIES

 

We offer both recreational and competitive dance programs.  All of our dancers, recreational and competitive, receive the same attention and quality training.  Our recreational dancers range in age from 1 year - adult.   

 

Dancers are selected for our competitive dance company by audition and/or instructor recommendation.  Competitive dance involves, more training, attending dance workshops, competitions, and more performance opportunities.  Dancers interested in competitive dance should express their interest to instructors.  Competitive dancers range in age from 5 years - 18 years of age.

 

We offer a quality recreational gymnastics program.  We begin our gymnasts as young as 1.5 years old.  We offer training from beginner through advanced level.  Many of our gymnasts move on to competitive gymnastics programs after honing their skills in our classes.

We also offer Adapted Dance/Gym for students who are differently abled.  With the aid of student assistants, our Rhythm Works Integrative Dance (RWID) Certified instructor uses a wide variety of games and movement exercises to work with students on motor skills, body awareness, communication, and fun while learning gymnastics and dance.  We create a loving and encouraging environment for our students of all abilities.
