What happens if we miss a class or class is canceled for weather?

Make up classes will be offered.  All missed classes must be made up within two weeks.

What happens if there is inclement weather?

If Stafford County Schools are delayed or cancelled, all morning classes will be cancelled. A decision on afternoon classes will be made by 2:00pm.  Our open/closed status will be on the studio web page, answering machine, FB and Instagram pages.  We will also issue a text message to parents of students in canceled classes.  If in doubt, please call the studio before leaving for class.  Make up classes will be available for classes cancelled due to weather.

I pay monthly tuition, do you discount for months where we only get 3 lessons?

No.  Some months, usually due to holidays, there may only be 3 lessons.  However, other months there may be 5 lessons.  We charge a flat monthly fee no matter if you get 3, 4, or 5 lessons in a month.

Do you prorate tuition if my child doesn't attend every class?
No.  D&G Expressions does not prorate for missed classes.  The only time classes will be prorated is if a student registers after the first week of classes.  Tuition for the first month only will be prorated.

What are your session dates?

Our fall/regular session runs from August through the end of May. Our summer sessions run during June and July (with closures in observance of Independence day)

Are your teachers qualified?

Yes. All of our instructors have studied and proven themselves to be qualified to instruct the classes they teach. In addition, all instructors are encouraged to take part in continuing education and training as well as earning certifications. Please see our profiles to see the credentials and certifications our staff hold.

Can we still join your classes after the session has started?

Yes. There are periods of time that new students may not be enrolled.  These are the times we are in preparation for dance/gymnastics shows and adding new students would not be beneficial to anyone.

Can parents watch?

In our Stafford studio there is an observation window in Studio A.  Curtains on this window may be open or closed at the discretion of the instructor. Studio B and the gym in our Stafford studio do not offer observation opportunity.  There are no observers at our Quantico location.

What is your ratio of students to teachers?

This depends on the age, and level of class.  Adapted classes are no more than 2:1.  Dance and Gymnastics classes are generally no more than 8:1.  Some class ratios may differ depending on age and level.
